Beyond Meat

Aweh, guys!

With a skeptical mind, curiosity and no ideas for dinner fueling us, we tossed the Beyond Burgers into our basket. We have heard about them on various Buzzfeed articles and YouTube (Rhett and Link spring to mind) and here was our opportunity to try them.

Oh my god… How is it not meat??? Again I was skeptical. Pulling them out of their container I was like, “nah, these don’t stand a chance”. But once they were cooked it was completely a different story. The smell, the flavour, sight and overall mouth texture is chanting meat, meat, meat but the brain is going WTF!

Expensive at €6 but definitely worth the price tag and experience. The fact that it’s available in stores as a solid meat alternative is definitely a step in the right direction.

Best burger I’ve had in the Netherlands so far (just saying, Rocomamas has not been unseated)!
